Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. Families interested in joining should visit the About Pack 584 page for more information (Here you will find information on how Scouting works, its history, youth protection, membership, and volunteer programs). Children can join Pack 584 regardless of their school or area.
We host a "Join Cub Scouting Information Night" twice a year, in Spring and September. However, children can join Pack 584 at any time during the year. Currently, we have about 40 scouts in grades K-5.
Cub Scouts meet regularly as a den. A den is a group of children in the same grade, led by volunteer leaders. Den leaders and parents decide when and where the den meets. If space is available, or a new den forms, any eligible child can join. Lion Cubs (kindergarten) form at the end of pre-K or start of kindergarten.
